Hey Blog!
So after many tense nights and a few problems, we have finally found a place to move. Last night we found a beautiful townhouse in Coventry Hills that we will be moving into. We could not be happier with this place an I am super excited to get out of the place we are in now.
With a bigger house does come different problems though. We need furniture! We have gone from one small living room, to 2 decent sized living rooms. We have two couches currently but they are not in so great of shape. Also, our bed is painfully small to the point where Ashley and me are constantly losing sleep.
But that being said we are very happy to move and it sets a great tone for an exciting year to come! With this bigger place and a move-in date before Christmas, this means we can actually go for a decent sized tree and maybe even have a real Christmas at home this year.
Our wedding is coming up and a spectacular honeymoon shortly after. Planning has gone along very smoothly with most of the big stuff already out of the way. Ashley had her dress all picked out the Friday after I proposed, the tuxes are picked out, the hotel is reserved, the DJ has been hired, the centerpieces have been bought and the invitations are ready to send out. We are very ahead of the game and I know people say this year will fly by but with so little left to do, it almost can't go by fast enough. The honeymoon has all be planned as well. We are taking a 15 night Hawaiian cruise next October. I can't stop thinking about how awesome that trip is going to be. I am worried about one thing however. I have a big fear of large fish. I really want to take Ash snorkeling but I am so worried that I won't be able to keep my fear in check. We also want to try surfing for the first time so I need to not think about what is beneath me when we do go.
This year is also an important one for me at Star Choice. Currently I am a Training Specialist for new hire agents at Star Choice. I am in love with this job and the people I get to work with. This job however is currently a temp position. Come August next year, I am scheduled to go back to my position as a technical service rep. This will prove difficult to me. I love being a trainer and I love the training team, it would be soooo hard for me to leave this behind and go back on the phones. So I have decided that I have until then to prove my worth. I have made it my personal goal to make it impossible for the training department to send me back. I am often struggling with being over modest and selling myself short, but this time I know that I am good at what I am doing and I plan on proving that to the department so that sending me back would be a decision they would find very hard to make.
Well thats all for this long and dull post. I'll keep working on some comics to see if I can get some more up!

Rebirth: Geek Style
Hey Blog!
So yea, as per the title I must confess that my geekyness has finally re-emerged to the surface to show its pale skin. Having made some new geeky friends my inner geek has come out to join them...and it's awesome. I never thought being true to my geek self would feel so great, but it does!
In January Ashley, Rob, Chad and myself are moving into a sweet new place and I will be hosting a LAN party for the first time ever. Hecks yea its a gonna be sweet. RSVP now!

Long weekend duldrums...
Hey Blog!
So it's Saturday night and belive it or not, Captin Studlyness himself is sitting on a couch instead of painting the town red. Not that I have ever understood that saying. But I am in Red Deer right now, so someone already beat me to it. Cuz its RED Deer......shut up Blog...
Lately I have been listening to an amazing album called "Voices of the Lifestream". It is a fan made album using (and remixing) all the music from one of (if not THE) greatest video games of all time, Final Fantasy VII. It is a free download at http://ff7.ocremix.org

Give it a listen, it is really worth your time even if you are not a fan of the game.
Also please check out some of the sites that I have added links to on the side of this page. Corey is a good friend of mind and has inspired me to not hide my inner geek, but to expose it's pasty white skin to the sun and be proud. Geo Guys is a great web comic by Jeff Powers who is possible the most talented person I've ever met. I will be adding a third link to my friend Hugh Baker's website. Hugh is on the Canadian National Bobsleigh Team and is headed to Europe in a few days to compete in the Europa Cup. Check them all out!
Well that's all for now, maybe I will think of something remotly funny to put in a comic, or maybe I will edit a video of some sort. We shall see. Thanks for reading, and look for my blog in bookstores everywhere!
Not really. Bet I had you going though didn't I?
